Random Insanity

From a simpler time, when I had Images and this site was more active, and before everyone hated me. Circa '07/'08, right about the time Obama was kicking the shit out of McCain in the election and Bush was still our Commander in Chief.

I didn't remember half of them, or even remembered they existed still, before I signed into my old imageshack account I'd abandoned a few years back.

In it are shitty MSPaints/shops of users, various signatures I once held (hippo and Cap'N Planet are still my favorite), other assorted LUE2 shenanigans, and a few of myself I've posted over the years. Mostly just random pics.

It reminds me of why I love this site, why I continue to come visit on an almost daily basis, and helps explain my attachment and accustomed nature to this community. Faded memories, once retouched and enhanced, are very poignant.

Before I became angry at the world and learned precisely how difficult and cruel it could be, before I turned to drugs and alcohol as a way of escaping my problems and anger, and before I turned that anger and frustration onto LUE2 via abusive and annoying posts (as well as in frustration over the fact that the site is sadly dying and many favorite users are disappearing/leaving), I once came to LUE2 as a way to relax, have a few laughs, and get to know a few internetizens who would share in such leisure. Before I went batshit on you guys. Before I started making an ungodly amount of posts and topics, before I started talking to myself, before I lost a shred of sanity and started spending way too much time here.

I was a lot happier then than I am now. I was oblivious then to a lot of things, but with a sharper, more stable mind. The ignorance of youth is in fact bliss. I'm still a pup, just twenty, but I've still managed to turn myself into just some bitter, burnt out drop out kook, who has made a lot of stupid decisions and a fool of himself to the one group of folks I could once confide in, no matter how ridiculous I sometimes could be.

I've told members of LUE2 things I've never told my family, my friends, the girls I've fucked and shared pillow talk with, counselors, co-workers...for some reason or another, I keep coming back to LUE2. Not because we share a lot in common, or because you "understand". I've just always felt...at home and ease with you guys. I dunno, maybe I don't belong here. I guess I came too late, during the golden years, but still...what I've experienced of LUE2, I do in fact cherish. I consider many of you friends, and any shit I've spoken was, you guessed it, done in anger or while inebriated.

Dude you seriously have way too much time on your hands.

Yes, very true. I need to use my time more productively.

I really should be studying. I have far too much time that I'm just letting burn away that could be applied to say, getting my G.E.D or learning a trade. I'll get nowhere in life, stuck in a rut of misery if I continue doing what I do. I'm being fucking lazy and avoiding my problems by copious amounts of internet usage and game playing.

Time to face responsibility and stop being a bitch about it all.

I have neither the money nor systems to keep up with modern gaming, I've completely missed out on most of Gen 6 and 7. So most of my play time is spent on retro games via emulation, indie freeware titles, or PC titles my system can handle. Or watching Lets Plays.

I've recently beat Crystalis, for example, and am contemplating an old-school Mario run, just the original "Big Four" titles of the series. I'm waiting on Mother 4 .

Anything you'd like to recommend?

You should at least get your G.E.D. And look at trade schools.
